Frank Arnesen appointed Metalist`s new Sports Director
FC "Metalist" presents its new Sports Director. It will be the Dane Frank Arnesen, who will take up his duties from February 1, 2014
The contract was signed for the period of 2.5 years.
Commenting on the appointment, the first vice- president of FC "Metalist" Sergiy Volik said:
"The club's president Sergiy Kurchenko repeatedly declared his readiness to strengthen "Metalist" with world-class staff and we hope that with the arrival of Frank Arnesen the team will get new experience and reach high results. We are grateful to Yevgen Krasnikov for what he has done for the club, and we regret that due to the decision of Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne, he must leave the position of Sports Director."
Frank Arnesen is formerly known footballer, attacking midfielder, a player of the national team of Denmark, "Ajax", "Valencia", " Anderlecht" and "PSV".
After the end of football career Arnesen worked as an assistant coach for Bobby Robson and as the Director of the club "PSV".
Later he worked as a Sports Director at football clubs "Tottenham", "Chelsea" and "Hamburger SV".
